South Central Railway General Manager Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava conducted a detailed Safety Review Meeting today at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The meeting was attended by Additional General Manager Shri Satya Prakash and all Principal Heads of Departments, while DRMs from six divisions — Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal, and Nanded — joined via video conference.

During the session, Shri Srivastava launched a new digital initiative — the Outsourcing Employees ID Cards Management (OEID) web application. This modern platform allows secure, QR-based ID generation for outsourced personnel through Departmental and Contractor modules, ensuring role-based access, OTP login, and two-level verification before card approval.

In the Safety Review, the GM emphasized strict adherence to Method and Supervision Statements before fieldwork, prompt reporting of operational disruptions, and special winter preparedness for signalling, lighting, and AC systems.

He also reviewed key safety aspects like level crossing deficiencies, fire alarms, LHB coach safety systems, cable maintenance, and prevention of cattle run-over incidents.

Shri Srivastava underscored the importance of inter-departmental coordination, timely accident inquiries, and advance planning for maintenance activities — reaffirming SCR’s focus on proactive safety management and operational excellence.
