District Collector Koya Sri Harsha participated in the Mass “Vandemataram” Singing Program

Peddapalli, November 07:

The district successfully conducted the mass Vandemataram singing program, said District Collector Koya Sri Harsha.

On the occasion of the completion of 150 years since the composition of the Vandemataram song, the program was organized on Friday in the premises of the Integrated District Collectorate. District Collector Koya Sri Harsha, along with Additional Collector D. Venu, took part in the mass Vandemataram singing.

On this occasion, District Collector Koya Sri Harsha said that the Vandemataram song, which inspired millions of Indians during the freedom movement, has completed 150 years. He mentioned that the Government of India is releasing a commemorative coin marking 150 years of the Vandemataram song.

As per the instructions of the State Government, all government offices, educational institutions, local bodies, and government-recognized private schools are collectively singing the Vandemataram song, the Collector added.

Collectorate Administrative Officer Srinivas, C-Section Supervisors Prakash, district officials, and others participated in the program.
