South Central Railway Observes Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

Date: 8th December, 2025 – Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad

South Central Railway today observed Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. General Manager Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava along with senior officials, trade union leaders and staff paid floral tributes to Babasaheb.

Speaking on the occasion, the GM said that Dr. Ambedkar is one of the greatest visionaries of the century  the principal architect of the world’s largest Constitution. He highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s unparalleled contribution towards social justice, equality and empowerment of the weaker sections. He added that Ambedkar’s influence spans across politics, law, sociology, economic policy and religion, and his role in the revival of Buddhism remains historic.

Shri Siddharth Kati, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, recalled that Railways continues to implement Dr. Ambedkar’s vision through the Reservation System, grievance redressal mechanisms and regular training programs. He informed that funds have been sanctioned for establishing Digital Libraries under the Staff Benefit Fund to support employees and their children preparing for competitive exams.

Shri Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, Principal Heads of Departments, staff members and representatives of various associations including All India SC/ST Association, SCR OBC Association, SCR Mazdoor Union and SCRE Sangh participated and spoke on the occasion.

The program concluded with the National Anthem.
