Retired Army Jawan Felicitated by Atmiya Abhimana Sangham in Peddapall
Peddapalli: Members of the Atmiya Abhimana Sangham accorded a grand felicitation to retired Army jawan Mekala Vijay Yadav in Peddapalli town, recognising his exemplary service to the nation and his continued commitment to social service after retirement.Vijay Yadav, who served the country with dedication during his tenure in the Indian Army, returned to his native village after retirement with a firm resolve to contribute to its overall development. With a vision to place his village at the forefront of progress, he brought together people across political parties, communities, and castes, earning widespread support. His efforts culminated in the successful election of his wife, Rojarani Yadav, as the village’s first citizen (Sarpanch).
On this occasion, Jangili Shekhar Yadav, Uppa Sarpanch, and several youth representatives from Brahmanapalli of Peddapalli Mandal honoured Vijay Yadav, describing him as a “Yadava Jathi Ratnam” (gem of the Yadava community). As a mark of respect, the leaders of the Atmiya Abhimana Sangham felicitated him by draping shawls in a ceremonial manner.
Additionally, Gummadi Soni Vijay, Deputy Sarpanch of Ragineedu, was also felicitated. Leaders of the Atmiya Abhimana Sangham, including Sutrupu Paramesh, Keerthi Rajayya Meru, Kalva Gattayya Yadav, and others, participated in the programme, presenting floral garlands and shawls.
The leaders extended their best wishes to all elected representatives ahead of the Panchayat governing body oath-taking ceremony scheduled for Monday, expressing hope for inclusive development and good governance in the region.
